Contract to install pipeline connection from Shell to NOVA Terminals
On Friday morning, 31 January, Roland Pechtold of NOVA Terminals (right) and Henk Herremans of Visser & Smit Hanab (left) signed a contract for the installation of a 16" pipeline connection between Shell Pernis and the NOVA Terminals.
The insulated pipeline will run alongside Petroleumweg, with Visser & Smit Hanab being responsible for the design and permitting process, including supplies and construction.
The design stage has already started and delivery is scheduled for the final quarter of the year.
NOVA Terminals provides services for the storage and transfer of all types of petroleum products to large oil companies and independent trading companies. With a market share of approximately 10%, NOVA Terminals is the fourth largest independent terminal operator in the port of Rotterdam. The terminal has 84 tanks, with total storage capacity of 900,000 m³. It is situated alongside deep water and operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
