Reducing CO2 emissions is a high priority for Visser & Smit Hanab. We are aware that our projects and operations impact our surroundings and the environment. But merely being aware is not enough. We must also do everything in our power to reduce CO2 emissions.

Carbon Performance Leadership Index
At Visser & Smit Hanab we feel responsible toward future generations. We conserve energy and cut back on CO2 emissions wherever possible. Our ambitions are perfectly in line with VolkerWessels' Corporate Responsibility-policy and our commitment is further expressed in the Level 5 ‘CO2 Awareness' certificate of the CO2 Performance Index (Dutch version of the Carbon Performance Leadership Index).

Visser & Smit Hanab communicates in a transparent manner with all of the stakeholders: our clients, fellow industry companies, subcontractors, suppliers, neighbours, government agencies and NGOs. Initiatives
As already mentioned, at Visser & Smit Hanab we take our responsibility toward future generations very seriously and are curbing our energy consumption and CO2 emissions. We have developed a variety of initiatives for doing so by working together with parties throughout the supply chain: from transporting CO2 to biomass conversion plants.
